Snowbird Tax Policy
Our elders are a national treasure. Many go south for the winter and spend their money in the US and, more importantly, their precious time.
This time is a valuable resource of life experiences. Currently, this "lifetime of knowledge" is being exported rather than invested back into our local communities. We believe our elders deserve an incentive to remain home and contribute to the national fabric.
Our proposal is to offer tax benefits to our elders to stay in Canada and join Canadian mentorship programs in order to transfer their lifetime of knowledge and experiences to future generations.
